The continued development of the RadioLog system allows the well proven technology of Hanwell radio telemetry sensors to be extended to cover virtually all data acquisition tasks, subject to the limitation that data rates cannot be too high.
The highly flexible RadioLog software can quickly be adapted to provide the data you need in the engineering units of your choice. Plug in software components complement the hardware components to give complete customisation of a system.
The RadioLog transmitters, such as the rl2000, are designed to provide customised, adaptable control when used in combination with the cr-1 control system. This powerful combination makes it easy to expand a monitoring system for other purposes.
Common applications include the duplication of voltage or current signals with no wiring between sensor and base station and the duplication of switch or relay positions in moving machinery, again with no wiring.
Serial data streams can also be sent to a wide range of control equipment. A typical example of a use for this facility is where radio sensors perform the measurement function for a building management systems. The often difficult cabling to the sensor positions is thus completely avoided whilst the BMS works as normal.
Data processing of any complexity including linearisation of sensor output can readily be performed in the RadioLog software.
The sensor illustrated is a 2-channel unit fitted with external temperature and humidity probes, part number RL2000-01-06-FF-P1. This unit is ideally suited to general purpose environmental monitoring tasks.
