Hanwell instruments Limited (UK)

Small, discreet and fully portable these incredibly versatile sensors are available in many combinations, temperature/relative humidity and 'lux/UV, CO2, wood moisture, flood detection and many more.

All Hanwell humidity-measuring instruments use Vaisala humidity sensors to guarantee exceptionally high performance and accuracy. Each sensor contains a micro-controller that switches on the sensors at short intervals. The measurement is then carried out, converted to digital form and then transmitted by low power radio using a protocol that ensures complete accuracy of data transfer to the Hanwell Architect. The radio system is fully approved and exceeds all specifications enforced by the relevant national authority and requires no additional license.

The obvious inherent advantages of this option are zero installation costs with no wiring requirement, disruption or damage to what usually are historically sensitive buildings. Simply place the sensor by the object or the local area to be covered and switch on. The sensors are particularly useful for temporary displays or island showcases due to their absolute portability. Each sensor is powered by its own internal battery, which lasts 18 months and is easily replaced. A "battery low" indication is displayed on the Architect, warning of the requirement for battery change prior to complete power loss. A failure in transmission is also flagged by the controller unit.

Hanwell utilise the latest proven technology in their sensors to guarantee high performance and accuracy. Calibration and adjustment is easily effected through the software programme so no physical adjustment is required. Relative Humidity sensors can be calibrated to UKAS standards (United Kingdom Accreditation Service). Annual calibration may be carried out on-site or in Hanwell's own purpose equipped labs.
